Business Lesson #27 -- Stay focused on the prize!

As a CEO, I get asked all the time: “what’s your liquidity strategy?”.   I tell people I don’t have one.  Some CEO’s that start or run companies have a “liquidity intention”.  I don’t.  I have learned that focusing my energy on building a big business by addressing a large market that has a big need with a solution is what matters. So, I have a “business building intention”. Stay focused on that, not the liquidity event!  If you are successful at building a big business, then the liquidity will take care of itself.
